For KidDays

KidDays is published by an independent Apple platforms developer (referred to in this policy as "we", "our", or "us"). You can reach us by email at [email protected].
This Privacy Policy describes how the KidDays application for iPhone and iPad, together with its widgets (the "App"), handles information.
Short version: we do not collect personal data about you, your child or the other parent. Everything you enter stays on your device. The App makes no network requests of its own, does not sync to any cloud service, has no accounts, and contains no analytics or advertising.
We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share personal information from the App. In particular, we do not collect:
Because we do not collect personal data through the App, we do not maintain a user database.
The App keeps a single record in its own container on your device, protected with iOS file protection. It contains:
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. The App does not contact the other parent and does not share your record unless you export it yourself.
You can attach a photo or screenshot to a journal entry or a receipt to an expense using Apple's system photo picker. The picker gives the App only the images you select and does not grant access to your photo library. Attached images are stored inside your record on your device and are included in your backups and in reports if you choose.
If you turn on the lock, the App asks iOS to confirm it's you with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. This check happens entirely in iOS; the App never receives or stores your face, fingerprint or passcode, only whether the check succeeded. While locked, and whenever the App is in the background, its content is covered so it does not appear in the app switcher.
To show whose night it is and the next exchange, the App writes a small summary to a shared container on your device that only the App and its widgets can read. It may include your child's name and the other parent's name. You can hide names from widgets in Settings. Widgets on the Lock Screen can be seen by anyone who looks at your device.
Reports and backups contain sensitive family information. Store and share them only with people and services you trust. Because the App has no cloud sync, a backup is the only way to move your record to a new device.
The App does not make network requests of its own and works fully offline. Network traffic is handled only by Apple for App Store purchases through StoreKit. Links to Apple's terms and subscription management open only when you tap them.
Pro subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. We do not see your payment details, Apple Account, billing address, or full name. The App receives from Apple only a confirmation of whether a subscription is active. Apple's own privacy policy applies to App Store purchases, subscription management, Face ID and Touch ID, the photo picker, widgets, the share sheet, Files, and other system services. If you keep your device backed up to iCloud, Apple may include the App's data in that device backup under your iCloud settings.
The App does not include any third-party code. There are no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
KidDays is a tool for parents and is not directed at children. A parent enters information about their child, such as a name and parenting schedule; that information stays on the parent's device and is never collected by us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
KidDays helps you keep your own record. It is not a legal service, does not verify what you enter, and does not replace advice from a lawyer, mediator or court.
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws. Because we do not collect or hold personal data from the App, we have no personal data to provide, correct, delete, or transfer in response to such a request. You still control the App's data:
California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
The App relies on security features built into iOS and iPadOS, including app sandboxing, complete file protection for your record and backups, an App Group container shared only with the App's own widgets, the optional Face ID, Touch ID or passcode lock, and Apple's StoreKit transaction verification. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. However, the App does not transmit your record to us, because we have no servers that receive it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new App functionality or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. The basic commitment that the App does not collect your personal data will not change without clear notice.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the way the App handles data, please write to [email protected].
