• Food Diary: Meals you log, including food names, calories, macros (protein, carbs, fat), serving sizes, timestamps, and meal types
• Food Images: Thumbnail images of scanned foods (stored locally for your reference)
• Favorites: Foods you save for quick access
• User Profile: Age, gender, weight, height, activity level, and dietary goals you provide during onboarding
• Premium Status: Your subscription status via Apple's StoreKit framework

Important: All this data remains exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Information We Do NOT Transmit to Our Servers

• We do NOT transmit your profile data (age, weight, height, goals) to any server
• We do NOT collect your name, email, or phone number
• We do NOT track your location

Data Processed Through Third-Party Services

AI Food Analysis:

When you use the food scanning or nutrition label scanning feature, the following data is sent to our AI service:

• The photo you take (for analysis only)
• No personal information is attached to this request

This data is:

• Processed only to identify food and estimate nutrition
• NOT stored permanently on our servers
• NOT associated with your personal identity
• Discarded immediately after analysis is complete

Barcode Lookups:

When you scan a product barcode:

• The barcode number is sent to look up nutrition information
• No personal information is attached to this request

How We Use Your Information

We use the information stored on your device to:

• Display your food diary and daily nutrition totals
• Calculate personalized calorie and macro targets based on your profile
• Show statistics and trends over time
• Provide quick access to your favorite foods
• Sync your premium subscription status with Apple

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All user data is stored securely on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• iCloud Backup: If you have iCloud backup enabled, your app data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account (controlled by your iOS settings)

Apple App Store & StoreKit

Our premium subscription feature uses Apple's StoreKit framework. Apple's privacy policy governs the information collected during purchase transactions. We receive only the subscription status, not your payment information.

AI Food Recognition Service

For food analysis, we use an AI service that:

• Processes images temporarily to identify food and nutrition
• Does not permanently store your photos
• Does not link analysis requests to any personal identity
• Operates in compliance with data protection regulations

Children's Privacy

Porcion is rated 9+ and is suitable for children aged 9 and older. The app stores personal data (such as age, weight, height, and dietary goals) exclusively on your device. This information is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. Parents or guardians should supervise children's use of the app.

Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete Data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device
• Edit Entries: You can edit or delete any food diary entry at any time
• Clear Favorites: You can remove any saved favorites
• Reset Profile: You can update your profile information at any time
• Avoid AI Features: You can use manual entry if you prefer not to use photo scanning

Premium Subscription

• Subscription is managed through Apple's App Store
• We do not store your payment information
• Subscription can be canceled through your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Free users have limited AI scans per day (1 food scan, 1 label scan)
• Premium users have unlimited AI scans

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Displaying a notification in the app (for significant changes)

Data Retention

• Data is retained locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Food photos sent for analysis are processed in real-time and immediately discarded
• Premium subscription status is managed by Apple's StoreKit

International Users

Porcion is available worldwide. If you use the app outside your country of residence, please note that your data (stored locally on your device) is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where you are located.
