For Potty Days: Toilet Training
Effective Date: October 5, 2026 · Last Updated: October 5, 2026
Potty Days is published by an independent Apple platforms developer (referred to in this policy as "we", "our", or "us"). You can reach us by email at [email protected].
This Privacy Policy describes how the Potty Days: Toilet Training application for iPhone and Apple Watch, together with its widgets and Live Activity (the "App"), handles information.
Short version: we do not collect personal data about you or your child. The App is used by parents and caregivers. Everything you enter is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database and with the caregivers you choose to invite. We cannot read it. The App has no accounts and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share personal information from the App. In particular, we do not collect:
Because we do not collect personal data through the App, we do not maintain a user database. The App's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
The App stores the following in a database inside its own container on your device, shared only with the App's widgets and Apple Watch app through an Apple App Group:
None of this is sent to us.
If you are signed in to iCloud, each child's log is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so it can appear on your other devices. Apple may send silent push notifications to the App so it knows when data changed on another device. The App works fully without iCloud.
When you choose "Invite with a link", the App creates an iCloud share for that child. Anyone who opens the link and joins with their own Apple Account can see and add to that child's log, including the child's name, birth date and photo, and sees the names of the other caregivers. Only share the link with people you trust. You can stop sharing or remove a caregiver at any time; a caregiver can leave a shared log at any time.
Shared data stays in iCloud under Apple's control. We, as the developer, cannot access, read, or export it. iCloud storage is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings.
If you turn reminders on and allow notifications, the App schedules them as local notifications on your device, marked Time Sensitive so they can reach you during a Focus. They are never sent through a server. With Pro, shared reminders are scheduled on each caregiver's own device from the reminder settings synced through iCloud. A Live Activity can show the countdown to the next reminder on your Lock Screen. You can change or revoke notification permission at any time in the system Settings.
The daycare report, printable sticker charts and backup export (Pro) are created on your device and handed to the system share sheet. Where they go next is chosen by you. A daycare report contains your child's name and log, so share it only with people you trust.
The App may download a small static configuration file from our website. It contains non-personal settings such as which celebration styles are free and whether a launch price is active. The request carries no personal data and no identifiers. As with any web request, the server that hosts the file receives your IP address as part of the connection; we do not use it to identify you. If the request fails, the App uses built-in defaults.
Other network traffic is handled by Apple: App Store purchases through StoreKit and iCloud sync and sharing through CloudKit. Links to NHS and American Academy of Pediatrics pages in the Guide open in your browser only when you tap them.
Potty Days is a tool for parents and caregivers, not a children's app, and it is not enrolled in the App Store Kids category. The parent sets it up, enters the information and reads the log. Three screens are designed to be shown to a child: the sit timer, the celebration and the sticker board. They contain no ads, no external links, no purchases and no review prompts, and leaving them requires a parental gate.
Information about a child is entered by a parent or caregiver, stays on their devices and in their iCloud, and is never collected by us. If you have questions about your child's information, please contact us.
Pro is sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. We do not see your payment details, Apple Account, billing address, or full name. The App receives from Apple only a confirmation of which purchase, if any, is active. Apple's own privacy policy applies to App Store purchases, iCloud, CloudKit sharing, notifications, Live Activities, Siri and Shortcuts, widgets, Apple Watch, the photo picker, the microphone, the share sheet, and other system services.
The App does not include any third-party code. There are no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and similar laws. Because we do not collect or hold personal data from the App, we have no personal data to provide, correct, delete, or transfer in response to such a request. You still control the App's data:
California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
The App relies on security features built into iOS and watchOS, including app sandboxing, data protection for files on your device, an App Group container shared only with the App's own widgets and Watch app, Apple's protection of iCloud data and shares, and Apple's StoreKit transaction verification. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. However, the App does not transmit your family's data to us, because we have no servers that receive it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new App functionality or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. The basic commitment that the App does not collect your personal data will not change without clear notice.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the way the App handles data, please write to [email protected].
